Why are you shutting down iWireless?
T-Mobile acquired iWireless and is going to convert the network to T-Mobile by 9/30/18. Now you will be able to enjoy all the great benefits of MetroPCS on the T-Mobile network you already know and love!
What will happen to my iWireless service? Will my iWireless rate plan go away if I don’t choose join T-Mobile or MetroPCS today?
The iWireless network will cease to provide service on 10/1/18. On this date, your iWireless rate plan and service will no longer work. Not to worry! If you sign up with MetroPCS service prior to 10/1/18 your wireless services will continue without interruption.
Are you going to cancel me/turn off my service?
On 10/1/2018 you will need to have transitioned to a wireless service carrier other than iWireless. iWireless service will no longer be available after that date. If you sign up with MetroPCS service prior to 10/1/2018 your services will remain without interruption.
I am a Pay-In-Advance customer. Will I be reimbursed for service I already paid for?
No. You won’t be able to refill your pay-in-advance account beyond 9/30/18. If you have any questions about an outstanding balance on your iWireless account you can contact iWireless Care prior to 10/1/18 at 1-888-550-4497 or dial 611 from your iWireless phone. The last day to purchase iWireless refill cards is 8/30/18.
Can I keep my phone if I switch?
Absolutely! You’ll just need to sign up for service and get a new SIM card from MetroPCS before 10/1/2018 so you won’t experience any interruptions. Visit a MetroPCS store to get a new SIM card. Find a store here.
What if I want to switch from prepaid and I want to try T-Mobile?
T-Mobile has several plans to service your needs. Visit a store or call T-Mobile customers care at 844-361-1314 to learn how you can port your number over before 10/1/2018.
I have iWireless service today. How can I switch to MetroPCS?
You should visit a MetroPCS store to switch your service. We have stores opening 8/1/18 who will happily help you select a new plan and port your number over to the T-Mobile network. Look for more MetroPCS stores to open in 2018! ) Find a store here.
Will I be able to keep my phone number?
Yes! You can port your number from iWireless to MetroPCS!
