Information on Billing for Premium and Third-Party Services

Certain parties besides MetroPCS have the ability to place charges on your bill for premium services. You may access these services and authorize the placement of charges on your bill through your phone or online account.

MetroPCS also provides customers, at no additional cost, with the ability to restrict the placement of charges for premium and third-party services on your account.

Blocking Options for Premium and Third-Party Services

MetroPCS provides customers with the ability to restrict the placement of charges for premium and third-party services on your account at no additional cost:

  • If you are enrolled in an Unlimited Plan, you may restrict the ability of third parties to place charges on your bill by declining to deposit money in your MetroConnect account.
  • If you are enrolled in an Unlimited Plan, you have the option of switching to a "By the Minute" plan which does not allow access to premium and third-party services such as short code service or phone insurance. You can then decline to deposit money in your MetroConnect account. This will restrict the ability of third parties to place charges on your bill.
  • You should, at all times, protect all passwords and Personal Identification Numbers ("PINs") associated with your account.
  • The above options are available to you at any time and at no additional cost. Please contact customer care by dialing "611" or visit a MetroPCS store if you have any questions or want help taking advantage of these blocking options.
