Before you leave for a trip, follow these easy steps to ensure a successful TravelTalk experience:
Dial *228 and then request to download the latest roaming list to change your MetroPCS cell phone’s traveling capabilities.
Change the phone setting to "Roam or Automatic." If you’re not sure how to do that, consult your User Guide.
Remember! Change your phone's setting back to "Home or MetroPCS only" when you get home.
Please note: It is possible to go into a TravelTalk situation while in a MetroPCS coverage area in the event of a weak signal. Also, if you need to place a call while outside of our local, Nationwide or TravelTalk extended coverage areas, you will need to pay with a credit card. The call may be completed via the American Roaming Network.
